"One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious."

                                                                         ~Carl Jung

In Greek, the word psychotherapy means "attending to the soul". Therapy is an opportunity to look inward and begin a journey of self-exploration.

Often we get to a point where we are forced to unpack our emotional closet because something is not working. Whether it be family, interpersonal relationships or job related, we find that our compulsive habits and thinking leave us feeling unfulfilled, unhappy.

Therapy is the process of breaking down these thoughts and patterns, and taking a good look at what lies underneath, allowing for change.

Often I see people who believe they are broken and are looking for a quick fix or an answer. Therapy is a process. The human psyche (mind, body, heart) is complex. It is through relationships that our wounds occur and it is through relationships that we can heal.
